Privacy

What we collect

• Account details — your email address, a display name, and a password hash if you set one. Required to write a review, enter an award, or claim a profile.
• Review evidence — contracts, invoices and screenshots you choose to upload. Stored privately, visible only to moderators, never published.
• Award entries — the manuscript and cover files you submit. Unpublished work, stored privately and released only to the judges assigned to your entry.
• Newsletter subscriptions — your email address and nothing else.
• Analytics — aggregate page views through a privacy-preserving analytics product that sets no cookies and does not track you between sites.

Anonymous reviews

Publishing anonymously hides your name from readers. It does not hide it from us: an anonymous review still sits behind a verified account, because a review nobody can be held to is a review nobody should trust. We do not disclose the identity behind an anonymous review to the publisher it concerns.

What we keep, and for how long

Review evidence, moderation decisions and the reasoning behind standing changes are kept indefinitely and access-logged. If we publish an assessment of a company, we need to be able to show what it was based on years later.

Award files are kept for the duration of the cycle plus one year, then deleted. Newsletter addresses are deleted on unsubscribe.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent any list. We do not pass your email address to a publisher, an agent, or an advertiser. We do not use review evidence for anything except moderating the review it was attached to.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or close your account. Closing an account does not automatically remove published reviews, because other readers have relied on them; you can ask for a review to be withdrawn separately.
