Don’t be afraid — write the book and publish it. You will always find an audience.
Sentadi XIII is the creator of the Superior series, a three-book saga that follows Nara Woods and the secrets hidden in her hometown of Cherrystone Falls. The idea began in 2016, drawn from a lifelong love of science fiction, the supernatural, and character-driven stories — Sentadi wrote the story's first chapter that year, then returned to it in earnest in 2025, at which point the rest of the series came quickly.
The finished series — Superior I: A Vile Introduction, Superior II: Fusion, and Superior III: Almost Dead — is Sentadi's debut as an author, exploring identity, group dynamics, independence, control, and human nature across a story that moves between dark and humorous registers. The books were published with Evercrest Publishing, which Sentadi credits with handling the marketing and distribution side of a first release.

How did you start writing?
I've had this idea for a story since 2016 and maybe before. The first chapter I wrote for the story was in 2016. I would write here and there little stories about the characters, but I took that original first chapter I wrote in 2016 and in 2025 began to start writing in earnest. Writing originally was a hobby, but as I began writing and finished my first story I realized I really thought the story would be interesting to other people, which led me to getting it published.
Which publishing path did you take, and why?
I decided to work with the publishing company Evercrest. They were reasonably priced and helped me out all throughout my publishing journey. I would love to be self-published, but I would have had no clue how to market myself or get my book out there, so I decided to go with a publishing company that's been helping me on that end.
What was the hardest lesson?
The hardest lesson in publishing a book is probably the marketing aspect of it. It takes a lot of money and time to market the book and to have the book find the right audience.
What does your working setup look like?
For a while I was writing while at work. I was a paraprofessional in a fourth-grade classroom where the kids needed minimum assistance from me, so I spent most of my time at my desk at work writing. At home I tend to write on my laptop in my living room or in my bedroom. I can personally write just about anywhere — sometimes ideas just hit me and I have to type them up in my Notes app on my phone, then later go on my laptop and include them in my story.
What marketing actually worked?
Right now, I'm working on social media campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok with my publisher. We are also working on a 10-episode short series on YouTube. I have a website for my series that is constantly being updated.
What would you tell a first-timer?
What I would tell a first-time author is don't be afraid — write the book and publish it. You will always find an audience.
